TECHNOLOGY BUILT FOR THE RIDE

Decades of innovation designed around comfort, protection and performance

For more than two decades, MACNA has developed proprietary technologies that solve real challenges riders face on the road. From advanced heating systems and impact protection to glove ergonomics, weather management and visibility solutions, each innovation is designed with a clear purpose: to make motorcycle gear work better in real-world conditions. Explore the technologies that continue to shape MACNA gear and the riding experience.

Powervein™ Technology

POWERVEIN™

Targeted heat, precisely where you need it

Introduced in 2002, Powervein™ is MACNA's heating technology designed to deliver effective warmth throughout compatible heated gear.

The wiring has been continually refined to improve heat output and overall durability, including a protective sleeve that helps shield the heating elements during use.

In heated gloves, Powervein™ wiring is positioned by hand to ensure it sits exactly where intended — along the sides of the fingers and around the fingertips — helping distribute warmth where riders need it most.

Dual Power Technology™

DUAL POWER TECHNOLOGY™

Choose between 7.4V and 12V power

Introduced in 2017, Dual Power Technology™ gives compatible MACNA heated gear the flexibility to operate with either a 7.4V or 12V power supply.

A 12V source heats faster and can reach higher temperatures than a 7.4V source, allowing riders to choose the level of performance that best fits their needs.

Both voltages can be supplied by compatible rechargeable batteries, while a direct connection to the motorcycle provides continuous 12V power while riding. Instead of committing to one power system, Dual Power Technology™ allows your setup to adapt with you.

Dual Power Technology™
Heat Reflection System™

HEAT REFLECTION SYSTEM™

Keep more generated heat inside your gear

Introduced in 2008, Heat Reflection System™ is designed to improve the efficiency of compatible MACNA heated jackets and pants.

An ultra-thin reflective film is incorporated into the interior of the garment to redirect heat generated by Powervein™ wiring that would otherwise escape away from the body.

By retaining more of the warmth already being produced, HRS helps reduce unnecessary heat loss and makes more efficient use of the available energy.

R.I.S.C.™ Interior

R.I.S.C.™ INTERIOR

Flexible impact protection engineered for the ride

MACNA R.I.S.C.™ protectors are developed to combine impact protection, flexibility and ventilation within riding gear.

The hollow hexagonal structure uses Expanded Thermoplastic Vulcanised Elastomer to absorb and distribute impact forces while remaining flexible enough to move comfortably with the rider. Open centers within the structure also promote airflow.

MACNA jackets feature shoulder and elbow protection with provisions for additional back and chest protectors, while pants and jeans incorporate knee protection with hip protection available in selected garments. R.I.S.C.™ protectors are CE certified according to their intended application.

30° Buckle™

30° BUCKLE™

More wrist movement. Less restriction.

Introduced in 2007, the 30° Buckle™ was developed to improve comfort and freedom of movement in long-cuff motorcycle gloves.

Traditional wrist straps are commonly positioned horizontally, which can create unnecessary restriction when the glove is tightened. MACNA positions the 30° Buckle™ at an angle that better follows the natural movement of the wrist and hand.

The result is a secure glove fit with greater freedom to move while operating the motorcycle controls.

Screen Cleaner™

SCREEN CLEANER™

A built-in visor wiper at your fingertips

Introduced in 2005, Screen Cleaner™ provides a simple solution for clearing rainwater from your helmet visor while riding.

A flexible wiper-like element is positioned on the index finger of compatible MACNA gloves, allowing you to wipe water from the visor when visibility is affected by rain.

Its convenient placement makes it easy to use whether you're moving or stopped, putting a practical visibility aid directly within reach.

Water Exhaust 2.0

WATER EXHAUST 2.0

Helps trapped rainwater escape faster

Introduced in 2023, Water Exhaust 2.0 is designed to help manage water that penetrates the outer material of a waterproof motorcycle glove.

While the Raintex membrane helps prevent water from reaching your hand, moisture can still become trapped between the membrane and outer shell. Water Exhaust 2.0 provides a drainage path for excess water, helping prevent unnecessary accumulation and allowing the glove to dry more efficiently.

The second-generation design integrates the drainage system into the construction of the wrist strap, maintaining its functionality while creating a cleaner, more streamlined appearance.
