ENGINEERED FOR PROTECTION
Safety starts with the way every piece of gear is designed
Motorcycle protection is more than adding armor to a garment. MACNA approaches safety through the complete construction of the gear — from impact protection and abrasion-resistant materials to reinforced areas and strategically placed protective elements.
Insights from racing and real-world riding help drive the continued development of materials and technologies designed to protect riders when it matters most.
R.I.S.C.™ INTERIOR PROTECTION
Flexible impact protection designed to move with you
MACNA R.I.S.C.™ protectors use a hollow hexagonal structure designed to absorb and distribute impact forces while maintaining flexibility and airflow.
Ergonomically shaped protectors are used throughout MACNA riding gear in areas such as the shoulders, elbows and knees, with additional protection available for the hips, back and chest.
Different R.I.S.C.™ protection options are available in Level 1 and Level 2 configurations depending on the protector and application.
EXO R.I.S.C.™
Protection brought from the inside to the outside
EXO R.I.S.C.™ takes the design principles behind MACNA's internal R.I.S.C.™ protectors and brings them to exterior impact zones.
The external protection combines flexibility, breathability and impact management with an integrated technical appearance, allowing protective components to become part of the visible design of the garment or glove.
PROTECTION FOR EVERY IMPACT ZONE
Different materials for different demands
No single protective material is ideal for every part of motorcycle gear. MACNA uses different R.I.S.C.™ protection materials depending on the level of flexibility, impact absorption and abrasion resistance required.
TPR Protection combines characteristics of rubber and plastic to provide a semi-soft, impact-absorbing and abrasion-resistant structure.
TPU Protection provides a firmer construction with elasticity, abrasion resistance and flexibility even at lower temperatures.
EVA Protection uses resilient foam to absorb vibration and impact forces while remaining lightweight, flexible and comfortable.
MATERIALS THAT MATTER
The right material in the right place
Different areas of riding gear face different demands, which is why MACNA combines materials according to their specific protective properties.
Aramid can reinforce high-risk impact zones, Cordura can provide abrasion resistance across larger areas, while materials such as Superfabric® can provide additional protection in targeted locations.
By combining these materials strategically, MACNA creates riding gear designed to balance protection, flexibility, comfort and abrasion resistance.
